Welcome to the Rotary Club of Naperville Sunrise
This site is arranged around Rotary's Four Avenues of Service; Community Service, Vocational Service, International Service, and Club Service. |
On
8/15/2008, District Governor Michael Slevnik presented his
message and met with the club's Board.
Slevnik said child health will be the overarching theme of his tenure. That means promoting the Rotary International theme,“Make Dreams Real,” he said, noting that every day throughout the world, 26,000 children under the age of 5 die from preventable causes. “RI President (Dong Kurn) Lee would like us to work together using the 4 major emphases of Rotary - health, hunger, water management and literacy - to reduce the child mortality rate,” he said, urging the club to customize our programs around children to “give them a chance for tomorrow.” |
