Annual Rotary Sunrise Winter Clothing Drive Begins!

The Rotary Club of Naperville Sunrise announces the start of its annual clothing drive to benefit those in need of warm clothing. Rotary volunteers are placing boxes in the community to receive donations of coats, jackets, hats, gloves, scarves and mittens. All sizes, infant through adult, are accepted.

The annual coat drive kicks off on Friday, October 19 at the club’s weekly breakfast meeting at the Naperville Country Club and runs through Friday, December 14.

“The mission of Rotary is “Service Above Self” and we are proud to be a partner with Sharing Connections in delivering warm clothing to those in our area who are in need.  The Naperville community has always been very generous and we look forward to another successful Winter Clothing Drive,” said Dawn Ruth, Rotary Club of Naperville Sunrise President.

New to this year’s Rotary Club of Naperville Sunrise Winter Clothing Drive is the “Cram the SAM” program at Continental Acura.  From November 12th to 26th, Continental Acura – in conjunction with Store and Move, will feature a SAM storage container at the dealership on 2275 Aurora Avenue and will be accepting winter clothing donations.

The following local businesses and community offices are participating as drop off locations:

The 2007 Rotary Club of Naperville Sunrise Coat Drive will benefit Sharing Connections, a not-for-profit agency whose mission is to establish a link between caring people and people who need care through the provision of material donations and services. Sharing Connections strengthens this link between giver and receiver by partnering and educating individuals, groups and organizations on the diverse needs of the larger community. The Rotary Club of Naperville Sunrise is proud to be a partner with Sharing Connections.

As you prepare for the winter months, please give consideration to donating warm clothing that you will no longer use to the Rotary Club of Naperville Sunrise Winter Clothing Drive.
